What kind of apartments does Hotel Palác Elektra offer and how many people are the apartments suitable for?
We offer one-room apartments, which are suitable for 1-2 people, and spacious two-room apartments, which can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. Two-room apartments have a separate bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed that can be used as an extra bed for two people. All apartments are equipped with a private bathroom and kitchenette, so they provide comfortable facilities for both short-term stays and longer stays.
Is your hotel suitable for business trips or families with children?
Yes, Hotel Palác Elektra is suitable for both corporate clients and families with children.
Due to its location in the center of Ostrava, the hotel will be appreciated especially by business clients, as many institutions are within a short walking distance. High-speed internet access is a matter of course for business stays. Superior one-room apartments also have a desk. We offer families spacious two-room apartments with a capacity for up to 4 people and a cot can also be rented free of charge. We have 5 spacious family apartments. Four of them are duplexes, which means that the lower floor has a living room with a sofa bed and the upper floor has a separate bedroom, which ensures greater privacy and a peaceful sleep for parents and children. One apartment is designed as a single-storey apartment, without stairs to the bedroom.
For guests who prefer more peace and quiet, it is possible to book an apartment facing Jurečkova Street, where there is no public transport and the traffic is minimal, which ensures a pleasant and peaceful environment for relaxation.
We are also an ideal choice for exhibitors and trade fair visitors who want to live in the center of the action and at the same time have comfort and peace. The Černá louka exhibition grounds are only a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
What are the arrival and departure times? Can we also check in at night?
Check-in is possible from 14:00 and check-out until 10:00. If your apartment is ready earlier, we will be happy to accommodate you even before the standard arrival time, but always according to current availability.
The hotel reception is open 24 hours a day, so arrival at night is not a problem. There is a security guard at the reception from 20:00 to 06:00, but they do not accept payments. If you plan to arrive after 20:00, please pay for your accommodation in advance via online check-in, where you can conveniently pay via the payment gateway.
Is it possible to use late check-out?
Yes, late check-out is possible after prior arrangement with the reception, but it always depends on the current occupancy of the hotel and whether there is no other reservation for the apartment after your departure. If the operational situation allows it, we will be happy to extend your stay.
The fee for late check-out is 200 CZK for each started hour.
Can we accommodate dogs in your hotel?
Yes, we are pet-friendly, but dogs can only be accommodated in Standard apartments. The fee is 100 CZK/night for a smaller breed and 300 CZK/night for a larger breed.
Within a 10-minute walk you can reach the Ostravice River embankment or Komenské sady, which are ideal for longer walks with your dog.
Does your hotel have its own parking lot and is it possible to reserve a parking space in advance?
Unfortunately, our hotel does not have its own parking lot. You can use the adjacent public parking lot behind the Dom Umění on Poděbradova Street. On weekdays from 7:00 to 19:00, parking is charged. It is not possible to reserve a parking space in advance, but parking is generally available.
Can we store your luggage?
Yes, you can conveniently store your luggage at the hotel reception.
Is your hotel wheelchair accessible?
The hotel is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Are your apartments air-conditioned?
The apartments are not air-conditioned. A fan is available in the summer months.
Do your apartments have a balcony?
The apartments do not have a balcony. However, the majority of apartments are accessed via a gallery - this access provides guests with greater privacy and comfort.
How can we get to you from the main station?
From the main station, you can get to us by tram lines 1, 2 and 8. Get off at the Elektra stop, which is located right next to the hotel building. From the same stop, you can also easily get to other parts of the city - for example, the Dolní Vítkovice area, where important cultural and social events are regularly held.
What attractions are within walking distance of the hotel?
We recommend a visit to Papilonia - the butterfly house, which is a popular trip for children and adults, or a walk to the Silesian Ostrava Castle, one of the most important historical monuments of the city. The Ostrava Museum is also worth a visit, where guests can learn about the history of the city. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there is also the Forum Nová Karolina shopping center and many restaurants and cafes, for example around Masaryk Square.
